The Jagdish Temple, Udaipur

Temple is raised on a tall terrace. The splendid architecture consists of a pyramidal spire, double-storey mandapa , a double-story saandhara & a porch. Festooned with sculptures...79 feet high sphere...The sculptures are very beautifully carved. The number of figurines is immense, as is the variation and detailing...A tiger having his teeth sunk in the trunk of an elephant!!!...Water tap or gargoyle? Of course there is a lot of worshipping going on....There are priests...
