A rare Picture of Gopis formed an elephant for Krishna to ride on.......That Lila takes place the village of 'Kunjera' which is just one mile from Sri Radhakund's north. When Krishna was leaving Vrindavana, the gopis entreated him not to leave. Krishna put an impossible condition on them and said that if they could produce an elephant, he would not leave. Not being able to find an elephant, nine gopis came together and formed an elephant and this is called 'NAVNARIKUNJARA'. A divine example of the ‘Ananya Bhakti’ of the gopis for their LORD KRISHNA. The stone carving of navnarikunjara is divine and rarely found in Tamil historical temples and traditional architecture.
